with school over, i'm spending my now excessively idle time watching old movies, reading new books, writing spontaneously, and of course, pursuing a new interest: photography.

though i hate to admit it, i'm a complete newbie at this, especially in terms of using SLRs...the only camera i know how to use is my sony cybershot point-and-shoot, which i used to take the few photos in my gallery. lol but i definitely plan to use the summer to learn! my dad also pursued photography for a while in college and is a pretty "accomplished amatuer" himself. lol so i'll be learning the basics from him. :]

in the meanwhile, i'm looking to buy a SLR. as i'm doing my homework on looking for a camera, i'm finding myself very attracted to the DSLRs (lol yeah, i'm a part of that digital generation, so shoot me. hahaha, "shoot me." get it?... =.= nvm...)
but yeah, its still early, so i'll keep looking around. suggestions would be nice. i'm leaning towards the Canon Rebel XTi DSLR, but i'll definitely do my homework on other recommendations. :]

but yes~ for now i'll just be using my point-and-shoot to try and capture the images i see in my mind. maybe it'll keep my creativity on its toes and my days more delightfully occupied. :]
